End of Year wrap up
Another huge year for our aged care industry with changes to our Act, Standards, Care Minutes, AN ACC, reporting and HELF. Thank you for our shared time over this year and cheers to new beginnings! May you enjoy your well deserved break and wishing you and your loved ones the chance to spend time enjoying each other's company.
As I wrap up for the year I am working on launching new supports to offer the industry. My focus will continue to work with small to medium sized organisations supporting their performance and outcomes through training, knowledge sharing, funding optimisation, quality and operational management and ongoing contracts.
I will be expanding and looking for more members of the ATACA team to join us. The preparation for registration is a large body of work and I am already working with two organisations to have their systems, processes and everything quality related in place and ready to go.
The DoHDA, will be making changes to funding, and hopefully we will see more information earlier in the year. Don't forget financial performance is now linked to quality outcomes with the Commission, so your AN ACC and HELF performance is critical!
Lastly again, thank you all for your support, camaraderie and resilience, allowing me to work alongside you and your teams for successful outcomes ensuring the care of our older and vulnerable generations. I hope to continue to engage with you in the New Year.
As for my time off over Christmas, I will be returning on 5 January, and am expecting something big and expensive from Santa. My Grandson assures me if I apologise for all the swear words Santa will give me something wonderful!
Here's hoping!
Merry Christmas
Karina
