Designed for executives and senior managers in residential aged care, this practical full-day workshop brings together three experienced industry specialists to explore how stronger data, better-connected systems and informed decision-making can improve financial performance, workforce sustainability, quality outcomes and registration readiness.

What our speakers will cover

Fleur Hannan from Critical Success Solutions will reflect on the lessons learned during the past 12 months across quality compliance and registration renewal. Fleur will share practical tips, common pitfalls and strategic actions providers can take to support a smoother and more successful registration renewal process.

Steven Hughes from Financial Shepherd Consulting will examine workforce strategies and the financial metrics that make it easier to manage rosters, workforce expenditure, care minutes and AN-ACC performance. His session will help providers understand how better financial and workforce data can support sustainable staffing decisions without losing sight of residents’ care needs.

Karina Peace from Advisors to Aged Care Australia will explain the latest AN-ACC changes and demonstrate the critical links between AN-ACC evidence, clinical documentation and quality compliance. Karina will show how documentation written for everyday care can influence funding outcomes while also providing evidence of conformance with the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

• How to identify and act on funding optimisation opportunities while strengthening workforce planning and operational sustainability.
• How reliable, meaningful data can support better financial decisions, improved quality outcomes and conformance with the strengthened Quality Standards.
• Practical lessons from registration renewal that can be embedded into governance, reporting, risk management and continuous improvement systems.
• How financial and workforce metrics can support more effective management of rosters, care minutes, staffing expenditure and AN-ACC performance.
• The relationship between AN-ACC documentation, clinical evidence and the information auditors may use to assess the quality and consistency of care.
• A year in review: what the sector has learned since 1 November 2025 and how these lessons can inform more resilient systems, stronger data practices and better organisational decision-making.
